Who we are:
We are one of the largest independent wholesale distributors of kitchen fittings, including bedroom and furniture fittings. Based in Finglas, Dublin 11, we are also key suppliers to kitchen furniture shops, hardware retailers, DIY stores, shop fitters and joinery companies.
The Supply Chain Manager Role:
The Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for the movement of goods from receipt at the back door to delivery at the customer?s premises. The Manager will oversee and manage every step in the product flow through out that process. The Supply Chain Manager will be an important member of the management team and the role will include both hands on and administrative tasks.
+ Design and implement robust operations solutions to meet the ambitious growth plans of the business
+ Utilise warehouse space and mechanical handling equipment efficiently, making sure quality control, budgetary targets are met
+ Produce and act upon regular reports on key warehouse metrics;
set team and individualobjectives, and regularly review these
+ Ensure accurate inventory through effective use of cycle counting and other stock control measures including management of the returns process
+ Plan future capacity requirements, through close liaison with other key teams such as procurement and finance
+ Oversee and implement a paperless warehouse / bar coding system in the warehouse
+ Oversee middleware and seek the most cost-effective methods of shipping
+ Recruit, train, motivate and manage the warehouse team in order to ensure they are effective in their role as an integral part of our businesses;
act accordingly on any non-conformances
+ Ensure effective communication with other departments in order to ensure an integrated approach to warehouse management.
+ Review and maintain relationships with courier services and freight forwarders, developing and maintaining SLAs
+ Negotiate and manage other third party service level agreements
+ Ensure health and safety standards are met, and that the maintenance of equipment and machinery is conducted in a timely manner
+ To achieve and maintain high levels of stock accuracy
+ To implement and track a timely returns process
+ To implementing new technologies and stay alert to new trends in the sector
+ Strong planning and organisational skills
+ A logical and systematic approach to work
+ Top-level understanding of all aspects of supply chain processes
+ Professional communication skills and relevant IT knowledge
+ A willingness to adapt and grow with the company
+ Warehouse management experience 5 years, including team management
+ Strong supply chain experience, including design and implementation of improved ways of working
+ Strong process design and cross functional implementation, some change management experience
+ Computer literacy, particularly WMS experience, ideally Microsoft Dynamics/Navision
+ Project budget management, experience of managing Capex budget
+ Health and safety, fire officer, first aid training and certifications (preferably IOSH qualified)
+ Clean driving license
+ Effective people manager, with ability to manage conflict effectively to resolution, calm under pressure
+ Excellent proactive communicator, comfortable operating at all levels of seniority
+ Structured, orderly with strong self-discipline, ability to deliver results through people
+ Ability to think strategically and implement changes with minimal disruption
